Super Saturday to open PS4 NPL Finals Series

A super Saturday with a triple treat of matches on 17 September will kick-off the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues (NPL) 2016 Finals Series.

Bentleigh Greens (Football Federation Victoria) and Edgeworth Eagles (Northern NSW Football) will open proceedings from the Kingston Heath Soccer Complex at 3pm in the fourth edition of the PlayStation 4 NPL Finals Series, which features the eight teams who finished on top of their respective PlayStation 4 NPL standings at the end of their regular seasons.

Attention will then turn to Brisbane’s Perry Park as the Brisbane Strikers (Football Queensland) host Canberra Olympic (Capital Football) at 6pm AEST.

Perth SC (Football West) and Devonport Strikers (Football Federation Tasmania) will then face off at E&D Litis Stadium from 6pm local time (8pm AEST) in the third of the Saturday fixtures.

Then on Sunday it’s a clash of two former NSL giants when Sydney United 58 FC take on Adelaide City at the Sydney United Sports Centre (kick-off 2pm AEST).

The match ups for the Elimination Finals and subsequent Semi Finals were decided by a draw conducted back in July.

Perth SC, Devonport Strikers, Bentleigh Greens, Brisbane Strikers, Canberra Olympic and Adelaide City are all making their debut in the PlayStation 4 NPL Finals Series, while it is the second appearance for Edgeworth Eagles and also Sydney United 58 FC, who claimed the inaugural title in 2013.

Other previous winners of the PlayStation 4 NPL Finals Series include MetroStars (SA) in 2014 and Blacktown City (NSW) last year.

The winner of the PlayStation 4 NPL 2016 Finals Series will also receive automatic entry into the Round of 32 of the Westfield FFA Cup 2017, providing an added incentive for the eight clubs taking part.

Every match in the PlayStation 4 NPL 2016 Finals Series will be streamed LIVE on www.nationalpremierleagues.com.au.
