PS4 NPL Women's 2017 fixtures released

The PlayStation 4 NPL Women's SA Season will kick off with a rematch of the 2016 Premier and State League Cup Final between Adelaide City and Fulham United on Friday 3 March.

Meanwhile, newly-promoted clubs Salisbury Inter and Campbelltown City will compete for vital early points in their quest for a successful 2017 Season from 8:15pm.

Opening the season at Adelaide Shores Football Centre, West Adelaide will host Adelaide University at 6.15pm prior to Cumberland United facing reigning Champions, Metro United at 8.15pm.

A highlight of the 2017 season will be three PlayStation 4 Women’s and Men’s National Premier League double headers featuring Adelaide City, Campbelltown City and West Adelaide.

Traditional rivals West Adelaide will host Adelaide City in the inaugural double header on Sunday 21 May at Adelaide Shores Football Centre.

Football Federation SA Chief Executive, Michael Carter, believes the double headers will prove to be another landmark moment for Football in South Australia.

“Congratulations to Adelaide City, Campbelltown City and West Adelaide on undertaking this initiative,” said Michael.

“Women’s Football in the State continues to grow rapidly and we are very supportive of initiatives like this that showcase the sport’s inclusivity.”

Adelaide City hosts Campbelltown City in the second double header on Saturday 27 May at Adelaide City Park before the third being a twilight fixture on Saturday 3 June at Steve Woodcock Sports Centre between Campbelltown City and West Adelaide. 

Yet another highlight of the season will be the first rematch of the 2016 Grand Final between Metro United and Adelaide City, taking place on Friday 21 April at The Parks Football Centre.
