Stand-out NPL Women's Queensland goalkeeper Cassandra Zaffina is the latest local talent to be snapped up by Brisbane Roar.
Zaffina joins the Roar as an injury replacement player for Rosie Sutton who is currently unavailable for the Westfield W-League club with a knee injury.
The move builds on an outstanding 2020 for Zaffina after her returns for Premiers Gold Coast United earned her selection to the NPL Queensland Women's All Star side that played against the Roar and New South Wales.
Zaffina has established herself as one of the Sunshine State's finest shot stoppers after previously claiming the Premiers title with Lions FC in 2019.
She also previously played for South Melbourne FC in the NPL Women's Victoria competition.
