United 58 geared up for new era under Vidovic

Sydney United 58 will be entering a new era under newly appointed promising young coach Tomi Vidovic as the former NSL giants have hit the ground running announcing a couple of key signings for the upcoming 2021 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s season.

One player returning to his old stomping ground is prolific marksman Chris Payne.

Following his move from APIA Leichhardt, Payne hopes he can rediscover the form that saw him win silverware at the Reds a couple of seasons ago.

Joining Payne will be former Central Coast Mariners, Blacktown City and Mounties Wanderers defender Jacob Poscoliero and young midfielder Andrea Agamemnonos while Ante Krilic has been promoted from the club’s 20’s squad.

All eyes will be on the club’s Sierra Leone born attacker and new addition Sallu Kamara.

The exciting new prospect returns to NSW after spending time with the Adelaide Raiders in the NPL South Australia competition where he wowed the locals with some quality displays.

The likes of recently capped NSW Blues stars Glen Trifiro, Yianni Perkatis and Matt Sim have resigned with United 58 as have Daniel Nizic, Adrian Vlastelica, Yianni Fragogiannis, Christian Gonzalez, Tariq Maia, Anthony Tomelic, Devante Clut, Josh McDonlald, Jackson Khoury, Liam Ivancic and Patrick Antelmi.

After lifting the rebooted NPL NSW Men’s Championship trophy in 2020, Vidovic understands that the club expects to win many more trophies at Edensor Park moving forward.

The club opens its 2021 season account with a mouth-watering clash against fellow rivals Sydney Olympic on Saturday 27th February (5:30pm) at Belmore Sports Ground.
