The big news in Ante Juric camp is the signing of two former Western Sydney Wanderers rising young guns Mohamed Adam and Fabian Monge. The dynamic duo come to the NPL with some pedigree, Monge, a capped Young Socceroo with seven appearances will strengthen the Blues’ midfield while Sudanese born striker Mohamed Adam will be one to watch in the top goalscorers charts.

The two have been joined by other new recruits Michael Glassock, Marley Peterson, Japanese import Yu Hasegawa, Danial Dias, Luke Kairies and well known NPL NSW Men’s identity Brendan Cholakian.

It’s going to be a huge 2021 season for one particular Blues player who has given his all for the club since joining as an 11-year-old, Will Angel, who will be entering his eleventh senior year at the club.

“It’s certainly going to be a massive year for everyone involved at the club.

“This year the club have brought in a mixture of youth and experience to build on from the previous season.

“Ante has introduced young enthusiastic players that have already had a taste of first grade football and brought in the likes of experienced talent like Brendan Cholakian and Japanese import Yu Hasegawa.

“So far the boys are looking sharp at preseason training and whilst having a chat to a few of the young boys, they are privileged to play for a club with so much history and can’t wait to get the season started.

“Our objectives are to win silverware and reach the Round of 16 in the FFA Cup and go onto win that trophy as well.

“This will be my eleventh year in First Grade for Sydney Olympic and eighteenth year if you combine my youth grade journey.

“Hopefully staying injury free I can hit 250 games for Olympic this season.”

The likes of Nicholas Sorras, Tom Whiteside, Billy Patramanis, Ben Van Meurs, Nicola Kuleski, Jason Madonis, Oliver Puflett, Adam Parkhouse, Zac Mackenzie, Peter Kekeris, Darcy Burgess, Fabio Ferreira, James Cakovski and Hagi Gligor have all resigned for the 2021 season.

Sydney Olympic’s opening match of the season is a blockbuster affair when the Blues entertain fellow former NSL rivals Sydney United 58 on Saturday 27th of February at Belmore Sports Ground.
