Stallions poised for huge NPL NSW Men’s 2021 campaign

Marconi Stallions have issued a warning to the rest of the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s competition that they mean business as they prepare for the 2021 season.

Well-respected coach Peter Tsekenis has managed to resign the majority of his 2020 players and has made two decent inclusions, NSW Blues hero Charles Lokolingoy and former Dandenong Thunder attacker Chris Hatfield to his playing roster.

Tsekenis has also promoted Mason Ingram and Paolo Laxamana from the under 20’s squad both keen to further impress at senior NPL NSW Men’s level.

“We’ve kept the core of the squad which is really important for team cohesion," Tsekenis told nplnsw.com.au

“We have promoted Mason Ingram and Paolo Laxamana from our 20’s who had a taste of senior football in the last two seasons. Additionally, we brought in two external quality players (Charles and Chris) who will give us different type of options going forward as well as offering a little more firepower.

“After the previous very tough shortened season with several absentees due to injuries amongst other things, we are preparing well and are looking fit and healthy.

“I am really looking forward to giving this season a real big shake.”

The likes of recently capped NSW Blues keeper Nenad Vekic, Mitch Mallia, Roberto Speranza, Giorgio Speranza, Zach Cairncross, Nathan Millgate, Connor Evans, Liam Youlley, Brandon Vella, Marko Jesic, Marty Fernandez, Anthony Frangie, Anthony Costa, Dion Shaw, Mark Rodic and Mason Ingrid have all penned 2021 deals at the ‘Palace’.

Marconi Stallions’ first match of the 2021 season will be against Sydney FC at Marconi Stadium on Friday 26th of February at 7:45pm.
