South Melbourne wins PS4 NPL Victoria Premier's Plate

South Melbourne have won the PlayStation® 4 NPL Victoria Premier's Plate and qualified for the PS4 NPL 2015 Finals Series with a 3-0 win against Northcote City in the final round of the season.

The Sunday win kept South Melbourne top of PlayStation 4 NPL Victoria with 58 points and +36 goal difference, ahead of Bentleigh Greens (58 points, +24 goal difference).

South Melbourne led 2-0 at half time via a Milos Lujic double, with Bradley Norton rounding out the scoring just after the hour mark.

Bentleigh Greens won 3-2 in its match against Oakleigh Cannons at Kingston Heath.

South Melbourne will represent Victoria in the national PS4 NPL Finals Series later this year.

Heidelberg United (51 points) jumped Melbourne Knights (50) on Sunday to claim third place, with the Knights finishing fourth. Hume City (44 points) and Pascoe Vale (40) round out the PS4 NPL Victoria top six and will play in the Elimination Finals this coming week.

If level at full time, matches will go to two 15-minute halves of extra time. If level after extra time, matches will be decided by penalty shoot-out. South Melbourne and Bentleigh Greens receive first-round finals byes. South Melbourne will meet the lowest advancing seed in the semi-finals and Bentleigh Greens the other advancing team.
