Perth Glory’s new recruit goalkeeper Nick Feely was vital in their narrow 1-0 victory over Sorrento at Percy Doyle Reserve on Saturday.

Joe Knowles’ 52nd minute strike gave Glory the edge before a string of fine saves from Feely helped his side secure their third win of the season.

An early strike from Gomo Dukuly proved to be the difference as Balcatta defeated Armadale 1-0 match at Alfred Skeet Reserve on Saturday.

The victory moves Balcatta to sixth on the ladder, leap-frogging ECU Joondalup and Sorrento.

Lions roar past City

Stirling Lions boosted their top four aspirations with an emphatic 3-0 home win over Cockburn City at Macedonia Park on Saturday.

Teeboy Kamara’s brace and David Micevski’s delightful finish ensured a comfortable day at the office for Rob Milevski’s charges.

The end result would have been more comprehensive had Micevski’s brother, Daniel, brought his shooting boots.

The diminutive attacker spurned four guilt-edged opportunities on a day City were there for the taking.

Floreat move into top four

The win propelled Athena into the top four, while Subiaco remains stuck at the bottom of the ladder.

It's been a huge few weeks for Floreat who went undefeated throughout June and have recently been drawn to host Hyundai A-league heavyweights Melbourne City in the Westfield FFA Cup Round of 32.
