Gustavo Catacione bagged a hat trick as Perth Soccer Club beat Inglewood United 4-2 to move within four points on the leaders in the PlayStation 4 NPL WA.

Perth win six-goal thriller to keep title tilt alive

Five goals were scored in an exciting first half as Catacione and David Cyrus traded strikes, before Jordan De Leo and Catarcione scored either side of Mark Pritchard’s leveler from the spot.

The second period was just as enthralling, but the visitors had to wait until stoppage time to seal the result, when the former Balcatta and Bayswater man netted his 10th goal of the season.

Ten-man Armadale defeat Lions

Goals from two Ellis Healing free-kicks were the difference as Armadale ran out 2-0 winners over Stirling Lions at Alfred Skeet Reserve on Saturday.

The home side were dominant for majority of the match despite playing an hour of football with a one man disadvantage.

Balcatta dominate in second half blitz

A five-goal second half saw Balcatta dispose of Perth Glory with the winners scoring three goals in five minutes to dash any hope of success for the home side.

Glory went into the game missing some of its usual starting XI, with several players currently in Malaysia.

Morgan heroics deny Subiaco late winner

Sorrento goalkeeper James Morgan kept the scores locked at 1-1 as he denied Subiaco a last minute winner at Percy Doyle Reserve on Saturday.

Scoring was underway for Sorrento in the 11th minute after a short-sharp pass from captain Daryl Platten found Alex Morgan at the top of the box who sent it into the back of the net with a huge left-foot strike.

Bayswater join United at the summit

Bayswater City joined Inglewood United at the top of the table after a 3-2 win over Floreat Athena in round 10 of the PS4 NPL WA at Finance 365 Stadium on Saturday.

The home side put in a strong first half performance to lead 2-0 at the break before Floreat fought back, forcing them to grind out the three points.

Cockerels ruffle a few feathers to continue unbeaten run

Cockburn City have continued their good form with a comfortable 4-0 win against ECU Joondalup at Dalmatinac Park. 

A first half strike from Ruben Tristao gave the hosts the lead at the break, and further second half goals to Aden Da Luz, Harry O’Brien and Angel Andres wrapped up the win, City’s fourth game without defeat.
