PS4 NPL WA kicks off with a bang

The PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues WA 2016 Season kicked off with a bang yesterday as 29 goals were scored in six top-flight matches.

Stirling Lions hit a magnificent seven goals at Macedonia Park in a thumping 7-1 victory over Subiaco, while there were seven goals in the match between defending champions Bayswater City and Perth Glory at Finance 365 Stadium.

Bayswater had been on the brink of a shock loss to the young Glory side before a dramatic turn of events and four second-half goals from Gustavo Giron Marulanda sealed a 4-3 win to City.

Gustavo Catarcione scored his first career hat-trick as Perth SC brushed aside Armadale 4-1 at Alfred Skeet Reserve, and Sorrento won the northern derby against ECU Joondalup, 2-0.

Harry O’Brien scored twice as Cockburn City scored a 3-1 win over Balcatta at Dalmatinac Park and Inglewood United won 3-0 at home to Floreat Athena.
