A Liam Boland hat-trick has inspired Green Gully to a 3-1 home win over Hume City in the latest round of PlayStation 4 NPL Victoria.

Thunder picks up first point since May

Northcote City and Dandenong Thunder played out a goalless draw at John Cain Memorial Park on Saturday. 

After a dour first half with limited opportunities, the second half provided entertainment and plenty of goalmouth action but ultimately no winner.

Bees suffer six-goal thrashing by Avondale

Avondale FC has emphatically defeated Werribee City 6-0 at Avondale Heights Reserve on Saturday afternoon.

A hat trick to Mat Sanders, as well as goals to Massimo Murdocca, Jeffery Fleming and Michele Crazia ensured that Avondale secured back-to-back victories and made Werribee’s survival fight all the more difficult.

Boland treble seals win over Hume

Gully scored early and went into the break with a 1-0 advantage, with Boland adding a second before Hume pulled one back through Theo Markelis.

But Boland made sure of the victory just minutes later, slotting home for his third on the afternoon, which now takes him to the top of the PlayStation 4 NPL Victoria scoring charts.

Holmes rescues point for Bentleigh

Ladder leader Bentleigh Greens has survived an early scare to rescue a 2-2 draw against Port Melbourne Sharks on Saturday evening at JL Murphy Reserve. 

The hosts raced out to a 2-0 lead after 15 minutes through George Krommidas and Kamal Ibrahim but Chris Lucas’ successful spot kick and an 82nd minute rocket from Tyson Holmes ensured the points were shared on the night.

Pascoe shut out by South in draw

South Melbourne held on to secure a point against the impressive Pascoe Vale at CB Smith Reserve on Saturday evening. 

Windy and cold conditions made the first half a poor footballing spectacle, with Mathew Theodore having the only real chance of the half, but his strike sailed well over the goal that Alexander Pavlidis was guarding.

Knights persistent in victory over Heidelberg

Melbourne Knights prevailed a 2-1 winner on Sunday afternoon as the side defeated Heidelberg United in a tight contest at Knights Stadium.

A second half full of goalmouth action saw goals from Stipo Andrijasevic, Dan Heffernan and Marijan Cvitkovic as Knights hit the lead twice with before securing the win.

Clinical Oakleigh dismantles North Geelong

An incisive Oakleigh Cannons has defeated relegation threatened North Geelong Warriors at a freezing cold Jack Edwards Reserve on Sunday Night.

A brace for Shaun Rooney either side of an own goal from Matt Townley, and a late goal from Mirjan Pavlovic were enough for the hosts to run away as convincing 4-1 winners, despite North Geelong controlling the majority of the second period.
