PS4 NPL Tasmania Round 12 Review

Clarence United overcame a physical Launceston City outfit to record a 2-0 win in their first game at Wentworth Park since Round 4.

Clarence overcome Launceston City

In typically cold conditions, the Reds put in a strong second half showing after heading into the break deadlocked, to take the win and leapfrog the Kingborough Lions on the PS4 NPL Tasmania ladder.

The win leaves Clarence a solitary point behind Launceston City on the ladder now and on this showing, they may well end up above them at season's end.

Warriors cruise past Rangers

The Olympia FC Warriors made it three wins in a row with a comfortable 3-0 win over Northern Rangers at Warrior Park. Canadian Gavin Hoy was at his brilliant best as the Warriors lead from early on in the contest and the three points never looked in doubt.

The first chance of the game fell Rangers way but Jorge Palacio blazed wide from 18 yards after getting in behind the Warriors lines.

Zebras snatch victory from the jaws of defeat

The Hobart JEEP Zebras pulled of a houdini-esque escape at Lightwood Park this afternoon, overcoming a two goal deficit at half time to score three second half goals and steal the three points from a solid Kingborough outfit that can consider themselves unlucky to not have taken more from the game. Luke Huigsloot was the star for the Zebras, whilst for the Lions, Shane Cartwright was in absolutely everything.
