PS4 NPL Tasmania 2016 season ready to roll

Football Federation Tasmania (FFT) has launched its PlayStation 4 NPL 2016 Season with a ‘night at the movies’ styled event at Hobart’s historic State Cinema.

FFT CEO Mike Palmer was thrilled by the success of the season launch and can’t wait for the action to start on the pitch.

“We have launched the season in style, and we think the launch was in keeping with the season ahead which we think is going to be the most exciting and interesting yet,” Palmer said.

The entire launch was a film involving stakeholders of the game from across the state.

“We’d like to thank all our partners for their ongoing support of football in Tasmania and we look forward to a great year."

The PS4 NPL Tasmania moves into it’s fourth season this year and with a host of talented new recruits and new rivalries, it looks like being the best season yet.

Although it is the fourth year of the competition there are some exciting new things in 2016. One of the new things is the arrival of Clarence United, who will play in the top tier for the first time after earning promotion in the application process, late last year.

As well as a new club in the competition, Naming rights partner PlayStation 4 is also providing brand new exciting opportunities for Tasmania’s elite footballers with the launch of the inaugural PS4 Player Pathway Award.
