PS4 NPL South Australia Review: Round 8

Elvis Kamsoba put in one of the most electrifying performances to lift Raiders to a crucial 2-1 victory over the Croydon Kings in Round 8 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues South Australia.

Round 8

Campbelltown City 1

Adelaide Blue Eagles 1

Campbelltown City and Adelaide Blue Eagles shared the points following a 1-1 draw in Round 8 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia at Steve Woodcock Sports Centre on Saturday.

Yvan Boyokino gave the visitors a half-time lead in this top of the table showdown between the local rivals, but Michael Matricciani’s equaliser inside the final 10 minutes restored parity.

Adelaide City 1

Modbury Jets 3

Modbury Jets pulled off an upset 3-1 victory over Adelaide City to move off the bottom of the Playstation 4 National Premier League South Australia ladder on Saturday.

It was one of those days for City where nothing went right for them, and everything did for the Jets.

Anthony Costa had a buffet of chances laid out in front of him, but Modbury keeper Paul Reilly was like a brick wall in between the sticks, thwarting everything the home side threw at him; while midfielder Joe Costa headed straight to the tunnel with an injury only seconds after coming on.

Croydon Kings 1

Raiders 2

The result moves Raiders to 7th, on 11 points, 1 point behind 5th placed Croydon.

Both sides started brightly and could’ve taken an early lead after brilliant build up play through the middle created clear cut chances but the first half finished nil all. The match came into life in the 52nd minute when Mimi Saric delivered a pin point through ball that was brilliantly finished by Elvis Kamsoba. His celebratory backflip was just as good but it didn’t take long for Croydon to come back.
