PS4 NPL South Australia Review: Round 7

Two 3-3 draws and South Adelaide recording their first win were highlights from Round 7 of the PlayStation 4 NPL South Australia.

WT Birkalla 3

Croydon Kings 3

West Torrens Birkalla and Croydon played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in Round 7 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia at Jack Smith Park on Saturday. 

The home side held a half-time lead thanks to Paul Radice, but Croydon hit back in what was a see-sawing second half through Rocky Visconte. 

Ryan Kitto restored Birkalla’s advantage, yet the Kings turned the game around with quick-fire goals from Visconte and Shaun McGreevy. Birkalla hit back through Jordan Watson and ended with 10 men following the dismissal of Haris Vuckic.

White City 3

MetroStars 3

White City and MetroStars played out a three all draw in a chaotic opening to Round 7 of the Playstation 4 National Premier League South Australia.

White City’s Nikola Mileusnic and Chahine Noujaim were both shown second yellows late in the second half which sent the home side down to nine men, while Coach Sergio Melta was sent to the stands early in the first half.

Campbelltown City 1

Adelaide Comets 0

Campbelltown City defeated Adelaide Comets 1-0 at Steve Woodcock Sports Centre in the Round 7 fixture of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia.

Scorer of the solitary goal was Campbelltown’s leading man Michael Matricciani, who scored his seventh goal in as many matches with a neat finish early in the first half.

Adelaide City 1

Port Adelaide Pirates 1

Adelaide City and Port Pirates played out enthralling 1-1 draw in Round 6 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia.

Pirates enjoyed the better opportunities in the first half and took the lead just after 25 minutes. Lewis Farquhar pounced on a loose ball just inside his own half and showed great poise to take the ball into left channel the box before squaring up to his teammate Jonathan Mavromatis.

In other results, South Adelaide notched up its first win of the season with a 3-1 victory over Para Hills Knights, Raiders and Modbury Jets played out a 1-1 draw and it was a similar score line between West Adelaide and league leaders Adelaide Blue Eagles.
