PS4 NPL South Australia Review: Round 19

Adelaide City and MetroStars shared the points after a tense 1-1 draw at Adelaide City Park in Round 19 of PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues South Australia.

Adelaide City 1

MetroStars 1

City took the lead at the five minute mark after some excellent play up front from Anthony Costa set up Nicholas Bucco who expertly placed the ball into the right corner of the net.

MetroStars found an equaliser in the seventh minute after a goal mouth scramble from a corner saw Michael D’Aloisio smash the ball past Keeper Ryan Veitch.

WT Birkalla 3

Modbury Jets 0

West Torrens Birkalla has moved to the top of the table after a 3-0 success over 10-man Modbury in Round 19 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia at Jack Smith Park on Saturday. 

Akira Miyayama netted twice after half time, with Paul Radice also on target. Earlier, John-Paul Cirillo saw his first half penalty saved by Paul Reilly, before Tim Henderson was shown a second yellow card before the interval.

Port Adelaide Pirates 3

Port Adelaide Pirates downed a struggling Raiders outfit 3-0 in Round 19 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia at the Croatian Sports Centre on Saturday.  

Captain Kieran McFadyen and Josh Giles handed the visitors a 2-0 lead before half time with Daniel Pearce adding a third shortly after the restart.

Para Hills Knights 1

Strugglers White City and Para Hills played out a 1-1 draw in Round 19 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia as the battle for survival heats up.

Steven Ward opened the scoring for the visitors with a calm finish, after Alex Mullen collected the ball inside his own half and went on a surging run down the right wing before whipping in a low driven cross into Wards path.

A Kym Harris brace was enough to condemn the Adelaide Comets to their fourth straight loss in a one sided affair on Saturday afternoon at Marden Sports Complex.

The home side controlled the match from the opening whistle and were mounting on immense pressure for large parts of the half only being denied by the heroics of Comets goalkeeper John Solari.
