PS4 NPL South Australia Review: Round 11

League leaders West Adelaide put in one of the most dominant performances of the season to record a 7-1 victory of Modbury Jets in Round 11 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues South Australia.

Adelaide Blue Eagles 1

MetroStars 0

Kym Harris gave Adelaide Blue Eagles a quick return to the winner’s circle, as his second half strike was enough to down Metrostars 1-0.

It wasn’t the most pleasing of games for spectators, with the wet conditions hampering both sides from executing their pass-reliant playing styles that have got them into the top half of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia.

It looked as though Harris and the rest of the Blue Eagles forwards left their shooting boots at home on the day, with the ball going high or wide nearly every time they lined up a shot. It was much of the same for the visitors too, unable to capitalize on the chances they did manage to create.

Adelaide City 4

Campbelltown City 0

Anthony Costa starred as Adelaide City ran out convincing 4-0 winners against Campbelltown City in Round 11 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia at Adelaide City Park on Saturday.

Costa opened the scoring in the 19th minute, before a quick-fire second half brace sealed his hat-trick. Joel Allwright was also on target, netting the Black and Whites second goal.

Adelaide Comets 2

Adelaide Comets returned to winning ways after last week’s heavy defeat to Adelaide City with a 2-1 win over struggling White City in Round 11 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia at Frank Mitchell Park on Saturday night.

The Comets were responsible for all three goals with Vasilis Carapanayiotis and Jack Bladen on target for the visitors, whilst Zachary Hristodoulopoulos scored at the wrong end to put White City on the scoreboard.

West Adelaide 7

Modbury Jets 1

Dour conditions with an onslaught of rain couldn’t stop the aesthetically pleasing display put on by West Adelaide. It wasn’t the perfect start though as the Jets took a 7th minute lead thanks to a converted penalty from Fabian Rinaldo. However, West Adelaide produced an onslaught and took a 3-1 half time lead thanks to a double from Matthew Bouzalas and a converted penalty from Ricardo Da Silva.

Modbury didn’t shy away as the second half resumed and came close to scoring. Their missed opportunities came back to haunt them as Bouzalas completed his hat-trick. Thomas Briscoe joined the party with a hat-trick of his own to move to top of the goal scorers list.

Raiders 1

West Torrens Birkalla 3
