PS4 NPL South Australia Preview: Round 7

There are two big games to kick off Round 7 of PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues South Australia tonight while on Saturday Raiders and Modbury Jets do battle in Whyalla.

Raiders v Modbury Jets

Regional action continues in Round 7 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia as Raiders aim to maintain their purple patch against struggling Modbury at Whyalla Wanderers Soccer Club in Whyalla on Saturday.

Raiders offered a warning to the rest of the competition with back-to-back wins against MetroStars and Port Adelaide Pirates, scoring nine times in the process.

Modbury have lost three on the trot following a first point against Croydon. Worryingly, the Jets have conceded 11 goals in 270 minutes.

Adelaide City v Port Adelaide Pirates

The forecast says it should be raining goals when Adelaide City host Port Adelaide Pirates in round 7 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia. Adelaide City are hitting the back of the net multiple times each road and Pirates are embracing their promotion by going on the hunt for goals.

Unfortunately for Pirates, they were on the wrong end of a goal barrage last week, losing 6-1 to Raiders.

Campbelltown City v Adelaide Comets

Campbelltown City host Adelaide Comets this Saturday at the Steve Woodcock Sports Centre in the Round 7 fixture of the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues South Australia.

The North-Eastern based club has had an excellent start to the season, remaining unbeaten after six matches and sitting out-right third on the ladder after defeating  reigning champions Croydon Kings 1-0 last week.

Comets are hoping to avoid a third consecutive defeat, especially after last week’s 3-0 loss against current table toppers Adelaide Blue Eagles.

White City v MetroStars

Both teams lie in the middle of a tightly contested race for a birth in the top six. MetroStars sit one point outside in seventh position, while White City are a win off the pace down in tenth.

MetroStars defeated Adelaide City 4-3 in a thrilling opener in Round 6, while White City played out a nil all draw against Para Hills Knights.

A win for either side will be crucial, as they look to break away from the pack and gain ground on the teams above them.

The other two matches sees WT Birkalla against Croydon Kings before West Adelaide and Adelaide Blue Eagles conclude the round on Sunday afternoon at Adelaide Shores.
