PS4 NPL SA Round 9 Review

It took Campbelltown City just one half of football to smash and grab the three points on offer with a 4-0 victory over a lacklustre Cumberland United.

Cumberland United v Campbelltown City

The Red Devils with three first half goals, and a superior work rate in the first forty-five minutes of the game, completely strangled Cumberland who struggled to make any impression on the game.

The usual Campbelltown suspects, Lui Ditrioa, Anthony Ture, Kieta Minomura, Adam Piscionieri, were on hand to setup the win with some brilliant ball movement that had the Cumberland defence under extreme pressure.

The Foxes’ centre backs Jackson Stephens and Stevie Kidd toiled hard against the odds.

The match opened under gloomy heavy clouds that set in over A.A Bailey Reserve, in what would turn out to be an ominous sign for Cumberland.

Croydon Kings v Adelaide United Youth

Adelaide United secured a 1-2 win over Croydon Kings, in Round 9 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues at Polonia Reserve on Saturday.

Adelaide United have triumphed to four games unbeaten, following the victory over Croydon Kings, which also sees them jump to eighth position on the league standings with ten points.

A converted penalty by Ryan Strain grabbed an early lead for the visitors, while Kings’ Captain, Luke Klimek struck an equaliser in the second half.

It was a touch in by Jordan Maricic, connecting off of a flick from Apostolos Stamatelopoulos, which then found the back of the net following a corner that sealed the deal for the Reds’ second win in a row.
