PS4 NPL SA Round 8 Review

A stuttering MetroStars failed to get in to top gear against Adelaide Olympic in what was billed as a must win for both teams at T.K. Shutter Reserve.

West Torrens Birkalla v West Adelaide

Lewis Moss proved vital as West Torrens Birkalla and West Adelaide played out a 0-0 draw in Round 8 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia at Jack Smith Park on Saturday.

The Blue and Whites goalkeeper made a number of crucial second half saves to deny the home side, who also struck the woodwork through Fumiya Suzuki.

South Adelaide v Croydon Kings

South Adelaide rose as victors at home against Croydon Kings, in Round 8 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia.

The Panthers proved, yet again, that O'Sullivans Beach Sports and Community Centre is a hard place to come for visitors—regardless of the opponent's league position.

MetroStars v Adelaide Olympic

In a game that failed to reach any great heights in the first half, it was Olympic who made the early running dictating proceedings through the midfield. The visitors were pressing up high forcing Metro to defend deep. But for all their hard efforts, Olympic would find themselves chasing the game at the half-time break.

In perfect conditions for football, both teams were finding it difficult to get into any rhythm, as the game unfolded into a real scrap.

Adelaide Blue Eagles v Adelaide City

Adelaide City came out on top of their first encounter with Adelaide Blue Eagles this weekend with a 3-1 win at Marden Sports Complex.

Both sides were locked into an arm wrestle for most of the contest as neither could find the upper hand.
