PS4 NPL SA Round 8 Review

It will be hard to find a superlative that can be used to define the heroic performance by the Adelaide United Youth side in the 4-1 trouncing of MetroStars.

Adelaide United Youth v MetroStars

The “Young Reds”, who had just arrived back from a tournament in Spain on Thursday where they did the State proud with their performances, turned on a dominating display of football against MetroStars to stun the north-eastern suburb side.

United coach Huss Skenderovic on the eve of the contest was a little uncertain whether his young chargers could run out the match after having to endure a hectic tournament schedule in Spain and a long flight home.

Para Hills Knights v Croydon Kings

Croydon Kings took home three points after disposing off Para Hills Knights 1-0 in Round 8 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues South Australia at The Paddocks on Saturday.

The scorer of the solitary goal was Antoni Trimboli.

Croydon almost got away with a perfect start, when the visiting side was awarded a penalty after Para Hills captain Matthew Mullen appeared to have handled James Skeffington’s cross inside the 18-yard area within the first sixty seconds.

However, Shaun McGreevy’s attempt from the spot crashed against the bar with the headed follow up missing the goal.
