PS4 NPL SA Round 6 Review

This round threw the table into disarray, and now that the dust has settled, a lot of teams find themselves in unfamiliar territory— some though, profited from round six.

Adelaide Blue Eagles v Croydon Kings

It was a round that proved a testament to how explosively unpredictable the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia, is shaping up to be. 

One of the few that procured, Croydon Kings, left it late in their match against the then, second placed Adelaide Blue Eagles, with a close-cut and nervy 2-1 victory, away from home.

Adelaide United v West Adelaide

Adelaide United climbed up to third with a 2-1 win over West Adelaide in Round 6 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia at Renmark Oval on Saturday. 

Jordan O’Doherty won and converted a penalty just prior to the half-hour, with captain Dylan Smith doubling the lead in the 66th minute with a superb long-range shot. West reduced the deficit through Tom Briscoe, but could not find an equalising goal.

Adelaide City v Campbelltown City

The Round 6 match of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia between Adelaide City and Campbelltown City was a clash of the titans.

The two giants of the league turned on a great display of football for their supporters from start to finish, in an old fashion arm wrestle the result was in the balance right to the final whistle.

On a sun drenched Adelaide City Park the first half was played at a high intensity with both teams creating good attacking opportunities.

Raiders v Adelaide Comets

In what could very likely be the upset of the season, bottom side Raiders recorded their first win to snap the undefeated streak of Adelaide Comets in Raound 6 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia.

Raiders came from behind twice to secure all three points in a thrilling 3-2 contest, which sent the faithful supporters at the Croatian Sports Centre into hysterics at the final whistle.
