PS4 NPL SA Round 18 Review

Campbelltown City kept pressure on Adelaide City in their hunt to take top spot with a 3-1 win over Adelaide Comets at Santos Stadium.

Raiders v Adelaide Olympic

In a game which didn’t reach any great heights, it was Adelaide Olympic that stood tall to score a second half injury time goal, and officially inscribing Raiders for relegation in their Play Station 4 National Premier League South Australia round 18 encounter at the Croatian Sports Centre.

With a faint hope for survival going into the encounter, Raiders put on a brave fight absorbing the Olympic onslaught for most of the ninety minutes, while giving the visitors a few fears along the way.

WT Birkalla v Croydon Kings

West Torrens Birkalla retained third spot as it cruised to a 3-1 success over Croydon in Round 18 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia at Adelaide Shores Football Centre on Saturday.

Fumiya Suzuki gave Birkalla an early lead, which was followed up by a goal in each half from Taro Kawamura. Dominic Matricciani scored a late consolation for the Kings, who remain in the relegation zone.

Adelaide Blue Eagles v West Adelaide

Adelaide Blue Eagles remain in fourth place after defeating West Adelaide 2-0 in Round 18 of the PlayStation4 National Premier League South Australia at Marden Sports Complex on Saturday.

Yvan Boyokino and Fortunato Filletti scored in the second half to provide the Blue Eagles a second consecutive win after disposing of Croydon Kings (3-0) in the previous round.

West Adelaide began the game the stronger of the two, controlling possession and passing the ball between the lines, with player maker Ricardo Da Silva pulling the strings for the visitors.

Adelaide Comets v Campbelltown City

Goals from Adam Piscioneri, Tom Strain and Lui Ditroia sealed the three points for the Red Devils, while Andres Weins grabbed the consolation goal for Comets.
