A high stakes weekend of local football is in store at all grounds across Adelaide this weekend.
Para Hills Knights Vs. MetroStars
Where: The Paddocks, Bridge Road, Para Hills.
When: Saturday, July 15 at 3pm.
Para Hills Knights will be brimming with confidence when they host MetroStars in Round 18 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues South Australia at The Paddocks this Saturday.
Para Hills are arguably the league’s in-form team with four wins on the trot. Last week’s win against Adelaide Blue Eagles saw the Knights break a first half stalemate with brutal effectiveness by scoring three second half goals.
Campbelltown City Vs. Croydon Kings
Where: Steve Woodcock Sports Centre, Stradbroke Road, Newton
When: Saturday 15 July, 3pm.
Eighth place Campbelltown City will host fourth place Croydon Kings this Saturday in Round 18 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia.
Croydon Kings are coming off a 2-1 victory against league leaders Adelaide City, and will no doubt go into Saturday’s match as favourites.
Campbelltown City have had a rough last few matches, with losses to MetroStars last week, and Adelaide United FC and Para Hills in weeks prior.
The only highlight in recent weeks was their epic comeback to win 3-2 against Adelaide Blue Eagles in Round 16.
Adelaide Blue Eagles Vs. Adelaide United
Where: Marden Sports Complex, Lower Portrush Road, Marden
When: Saturday 15 July, 3pm.
Broadcast Information: Match of the Round Livestream HERE at 3pm.
Adelaide Blue Eagles welcome Adelaide United to Marden Sports Complex in Round 18 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues on Saturday.
The crucial game for both Clubs could potentially go down as a relegation decider as just five games remain of the regular season, and neither side will not go down without a fight.
One of South Australia’s most successful clubs, Blue Eagles, sit in 11th and are currently in the drop zone.
They are just one point adrift of their opponents, Adelaide United, who are on 17 points.
Adelaide Olympic Vs. West Adelaide
Where: The Parks Football Centre, Cowan Street, Angle Park.
When: Saturday July 15, 7pm.
Broadcast Information: 531am, the Radio Italiana website or the TuneIn App.
In one of the most competitive and unpredictable seasons, Round 18 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League sees Adelaide Olympic, who are sitting ninth, play host to fifth placed West Adelaide at The Parks Football Centre, in a match that could decide whether either of these two sides see finals action for 2017.
With just two wins separating these two teams, and a congestion developing for a place in the top six, Olympic are hanging on the edge. And with games to come against Comets, Adelaide City and Campbelltown City to come, a loss for Olympic this week will almost certainly end their season.
West Adelaide also find themselves in a pressure cooker situation for a top six finish with Para Hills, West Torrens Birkalla and Campbelltown City (who at the start of the season were touted as Championship favourites), hunting them down.
A loss to Olympic will keep the door ajar for the teams below them.
