Adelaide City v Adelaide Comets

Adelaide City’s “Never Say Die” attitude was again alive and well at Adelaide City Park with an impressive 4-2 win over a gallant Adelaide Comets in their PlayStation 4 National Premier League SA Round 15 match.

As they have done numerous times this season, City refused to accept defeat when all seemed lost. They steamrolled a tiring Comets side with some hard running and brilliant football to score three goals in the final six minutes of the game to secure a vital three points; sneaking four points clear of Campbelltown at the top of the League table.

Credit must go to City’s coach Damian Mori who tactically used his bench to turn the game in City’s favour. The injection of Thomas Love, Michael Acton and Mamadi Kamara at pivotal times helped turn the game in City’s favour.

West Torrens Birkalla v Adelaide Olympic

West Torrens Birkalla twice came from a goal down to rescue a point against Adelaide Olympic as the two sides played out a thrilling three all draw at Jack Smith Park on Saturday.

Fumiya Suzuki opened the scoring for the home side with a sublime strike inside the first five minutes, but that was cancelled out by Fausto Erba to keep the scores locked at the break.

Matthew Bouzalas gave Olympic the unlikely lead not long after the restart, which quickly evaporated as substitute Michael Mangafakis again evened things up with an opportunistic strike.
