PS4 NPL SA Round 11 Review

Croydon Kings succumbed to a MetroStars second half three goal blitz to hand the visitors the three points in their PlayStation 4 NPL South Australia Round 11 encounter.

Croydon Kings v MetroStars

Three superbly orchestrated goals scored by Anthony Solagna, Rocky Callisto and Jonathan Negus completely overwhelmed their hosts who were deflated after the match.

It was an even first half with neither side capable of getting any real ascendancy in the game.

Croydon Kings’ club champion Rocky Visconte, playing his 100th game for the club was prominent on a wing and had a great duel with Justin Davis, before the Croydon Champ limped off early in the second half.

The first twenty minutes was an arm wrestle with both defences doing their role in repelling their opposition’s forward forays. Croydon defenders John Panagaris and Jarryd Brazzale were solid and had plenty of back up support from Hosine Bility and Anthony Francesca.

Cumberland United v Adelaide United Youth

Cumberland United recorded their elusive second win of the season, with a 1-0 win over Adelaide United in Round 11 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues at A.A Bailey Reserve on Saturday.

Jace Cummins was the hero with the match-winner, the second-chance opportunity proved crucial for Cumberland to take the three points.

With Cumberland’s pressure, and Adelaide’s off-target shooting, it did not help the Reds’ mission to take down the Foxes.

Managing to maintain composure, Adelaide United were able to attack through Pacifique Niyongabire, but his first touch inside the penalty area had let him down, it what was a threatening chance.
