PS4 NPL SA Round 11 Preview

West Adelaide FC welcome league leaders Adelaide City FC to Adelaide Shores Football Centre in Round 11 of PlayStation 4 NPL South Australia.

West Adelaide v Adelaide City

The West Beach-based club sits in fifth place with 15 points to their name – ten points behind league leaders and upcoming opponents Adelaide City.

Ten league matches into the season, West Adelaide captain Eli Vlassis made an assessment of his team’s performances thus far.

“We had a few mixed results,” Vlassis said.

“Now with Phil (Stubbins) in charge, we are looking at getting more consistency and having a good push into the second half of the year.”

Vlassis is aware that everyone on his team needs to be on the top of their, in order to have a chance against Adelaide City on Sunday.

“We got to be on our game; we got match their intensity and match their work rate,” he said.

“And that’s the start of getting a win this weekend.”

Adelaide City, on the other hand, will be looking to continue their good run of form.

Including their recent Westfield FFA Cup SA Quarter-Final win against Campbelltown City, Adelaide City is going through a five game winning streak.

Croydon Kings v MetroStars

Croydon Kings, fresh from their dress rehearsal loss to their north-eastern suburb nemesis in last week’s Westfield FFA Cup Quarter-Final, will be looking to get some revenge when they play host to MetroStars in their PlayStation 4 National Premier League Round 11 encounter at Polonia Reserve.

The Kings go into the match without the services of their star striker Paul Radice, who will be cooling his heels on the side lines, after being sent off in last week’s gruelling and at times spiteful encounter.

The Kings have been left a little thin in their front half, and scoring responsibilities will fall onto the shoulders of Shaun McGreevy, Rocky Visconte, James Skeffington and Antoni Trimboli, who will be called upon to press higher in their forward half.

Cumberland United v Adelaide United Youth

Cumberland United will play host to young guns, Adelaide United, in Round 11 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues, and there will be no doubts that when these two clubs lock horns, it will be a fiery match-up as soon as they step onto A.A Bailey Reserve on Saturday.

Despite the loss last week, Adelaide United’s goals for their 2017 National Premier League campaign have recently come into fruition, and they have showed willingness to put in the hard yards and rise the occasion of such a tough competition.

And the Reds will now look to bounce back this round to claim the three points that are up for grabs, re-creating their best football, which has proven to be threatening when they are at full-speed.
