PS4 NPL SA Grand Final Review

A Tommy Strain goal was enough to give the retiring Vasilis Parhas the perfect send off as Campbelltown soured Adelaide City’s 70th anniversary celebrations with their 1-0 victory in the PlayStation 4 NPL South Australia Grand Final.

Adelaide City coach Damian Mori had no answers to the defensive structure that Joe Mullen’s men implemented to perfection.

Campbelltown’s back four led by their veteran captain Iain Fyfe were impregnable throughout the game.

The “Red Devils” took up where they left off in last week’s Preliminary Final 4-0 demolition of West Torrens Birkalla.

In midfield, the retiring Parhas played the game of his life to inspire his team mates to glory. Parhas was the general in the middle of the park, well supported by Adam Piscioneri, and Kieta Minomura.

Adelaide City, the minor premiers, went into the game as favourites. But after two Major Semi-Final defeats at the hands of the Black and Whites, it was third time lucky for Mullen and his playing group.
