After a round of washouts Round 14 was a chance for teams to get back to business in the PlayStation®4 NPL NSW Men’s competition and that’s exactly what they did.
Six big games provided plenty of action for football fans with more than a fair share of goals and excitement.
Sutherland Sharks pulled off the shock result of the round, but Sydney Olympic also played an important part in the battle at the top of the table.
There were goals galore in this week’s match of the round as Manly travelled to Parramatta.

Parramatta FC 2 - Manly United FC 5 at Melita Stadium
An inspired second half performance has lifted Manly United FC to a dominant 5-2 victory in its PlayStation®4 NPL NSW Men’s clash against Parramatta FC on Sunday.
Manly’s ferocious attacking style was too much for the home side despite an evenly contested first half.
A volatile challenge from Ibrahim Haydar began a downward slide for Parramatta as Manly scored four straight to secure the win.
It was a good day for Brendan Cholakian, Dejan Pandurevic, Richard Cardozo, Adam Parkhouse and Dom Ferguson who all featured on the scorecard for Manly.
Gosue Sama’s late strike was mere consolation for the home team who also scored courtesy of Andreas Vais.

Sutherland Sharks 2 - Sydney United 58 2 at Seymour Shaw
A Steven Kayes wonder goal in the dying moments has helped Sutherland Sharks snatch a hard fought 2-2 draw in their PlayStation®4 NPL NSW Men’s clash with Sydney United 58 on Saturday.
It was a dramatic ending after an inspired performance from the home team with Hayne’s 88th minute strike breaking the hearts of United 58’s players and fans as they dropped points for the first time since Round 10.
A Tomohiro Kajiyama goal in the 31st minute grave the Sharks an early lead before a determined Sydney United 58 fightback in the second half.
A Panni Nikas double put United 58 in front in the 71st minute but it wasn't to be for the visitors as Kayes and the Sharks ensured they didn’t go empty handed.

Bonnyrigg White Eagles 3 - APIA Leichhardt 5 at Bonnyrigg Sports Club
APIA Leichhardt Tigers prevailed in an eight goal thriller at Bonnyrigg Sports Club with late goals to Jordan Murray and Tasuku Sekiya sealing a remarkable 5-3 victory over Bonnyrigg White Eagles.
Danial Cummins’ unfancied side found themselves cruising with a two-goal cushion at the break of the PlayStation®4 NPL NSW Men’s clash courtesy of two fine breakaway goals from Nicholas Olsen and Sean Symons.
However, APIA surrendered their advantage in emphatic fashion after the half-time lead when Yuta Kokado and Robbie Younis struck to restore parity.
It preceded a manic final ten minutes in which the visitors restored their advantage through substitute Jordan Murray, before Aaron Peterson levelled once more for Bonnyrigg.
But there would be further drama only minutes later when Sekiya rounded James Chronopoulos to put APIA back in front, before Olsen finally sealed all three points with his second as a truly epic affair came to a close.

Hakoah Sydney City East 3 - Blacktown Spartans 2 at Hensley Athletic Field
Hakoah Sydney City East defeated Blacktown Spartans by 3-2 in a highly entertaining Round 14 game of the PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s at Hensley Athletic Field.
Goals to Adrian Vranic, Lee Jones and Andre De Jong was enough for the home side to hold off a determined Spartans team.
Shu Sasaki’s fourth minute goal provided the visitors with an early lead, but three goals in 20 minutes from Hakoah turned the match in favour of the home team.
Sasaki’s second goal had Blacktown in with a chance of recovering a point, however it wasn’t to be as Mark Robertson’s boys held on for all three points.

Wollongong Wolves 0 - Rockdale City Suns 3 at WIN Stadium
A ten-man Rockdale City Suns has stunned Wollongong Wolves with a 3-0 victory during theirPlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s 1 at WIN Stadium, Wollongong on Sunday evening.
Despite being reduced to ten men midway through the first half, Rockdale managed to score right on the stroke of half-time courtesy of Hristijan Tanoski before completing the unlikely victory when Alec Urosevski and Aleks Canak hit the back of the net in the dying stages.
Wollongong failed to find its groove throughout the match and struggled to threaten the Rockdale defence despite the home side’s one man advantage.

Sydney Olympic 0 - Blacktown City 0 at Belmore Sports Ground
Blacktown City has missed a chance to gain territory on top side Sydney United 58 after playing out a scoreless draw in its match with Sydney Olympic.
It was a night of missed opportunities for Mark Crittenden’s Blacktown side with the reigning PlayStation®4 NPL Champions spurning more than their fair share of chances.
Veteran shot stopper Paul Henderson continued his rich vein of form to stop wave after wave of Blacktown attacks.
Harris Gaitatzis was one of few bright spots offensively for Olympic, but it was all about the home side’s defensive performance as they clung on to a hard fought point.
