Perth SC’s long unbeaten run in the WA NPL is over after they went down 3-2 against Rockingham City on Saturday.
In one of the upsets of season, skipper Lydon Hodgkiss scored in stoppage-time to inflict Perth’s first league defeat in 26 matches.
The Azzuri’s last defeat came way back in May of 2018, a 2-0 loss to Perth Glory.
Despite the defeat, Perth SC still hold a nine-point buffer at the top in WA after Floreat Athena also lost, 3-0 at Inglewood United.
Floreat’s loss has seen Balcatta FC move into second spot after their 2-1 win over Bayswater City.
Elsewhere, Perth Glory and Armadale drew 1-1 and ECU Joondalup overcame Cockburn City 2-1.

Victoria
A goal from Alex Salmon two minutes into stoppage-time has seen Green Gully pull off a shock win over league-leaders Avondale FC on Saturday.
The Avengers led early through Liam Boland before Andy Brennan levelled the scores for the visitors just before the break.
An entertaining second half looked like going goalless until Salmon struck in the 92nd-minute to hand Gully a famous 2-1 win.
Bentleigh Greens missed the chance to close the gap on Avondale as they also lost at home, going down 3-1 against Dandenong Thunder.
Dandenong City’s recent resurgence continued as they beat Hume City 1-0, while Melbourne Knights went down 2-1 at Port Melbourne Sharks.

A spectacular overhead kick from skipper Joey Gibbs put the exclamation mark on an impressive 3-1 win for Blacktown City over Sydney FC on Sunday.
Gibbs’ highlight-reel moment late in the second-half ensured a comfortable win for City, who have consolidated their spot in third.
In other results, Wollongong Wolves made it 17 straight weeks at the top of the ladder with a 4-1 drubbing of Mt Druitt Town Rangers, while Sutherland Sharks mauled 10-man Manly United 5-0 at Cromer Park.
APIA Leichhardt remain in second spot after a 3-0 win over Hakoah, while Sydney United 58 and Marconi played out a fiery 0-0 draw.

Australian Capital Territory
Canberra Olympic flexed their muscles in devastating fashion as they put seven goals past a hapless Gungahlin United.
Despite falling behind inside the first minute, Olympic overpowered their hosts with Stephen Domenici and Nik Popovich both scoring braces in a 7-2 win.
The massive win - coupled with Tigers FC’s 2-2 draw with Monaro Panthers - has seen Olympic close the gap to just two points to the side from Cooma.
In the other result, Keith Jackson scored a double as the Riverina Rhinos took care of Belconnen United 3-1 at Solar Mad Stadium.

South Australia
Adelaide Blue Eagles have lost further ground in the race for the Premiership after slumping to a shock 2-1 loss against lowly Para Hills Knights on Saturday.
And it was a late collapse that saw the Blue Eagles go down, throwing away a 1-0 lead heading into the final 10 minutes before goals from Logan McFall (80th-minute) and Thilo Wilke (87th) gave the hosts a memorable wins.
The Blue Eagles’ loss has seen Campbelltown City open up a six-point lead at the top as they beat last-placed South Adelaide 4-2 on Friday night, with ex-Adelaide United players Iain Fyfe and Marc Marino scoring the goals.
Elsewhere, Adelaide Comets’ winless run extended to six games after a 1-1 draw with MetroStars, Adelaide City beat Raiders 3-2 and Adelaide United beat West Adelaide 2-0.

Lions FC have closed to within one point of the summit in Queensland after a dominant 4-1 win away at Brisbane Strikers on the weekend.
Joe Duckworth scored in either half to set up the win, while former Hyundai A-League player Josh Brindell-South also got on the score sheet.
With league-leaders Peninsula Power not in action until Tuesday night, when they face third-place Olympic FC, Lions have heaped the pressure on the side from AJ Kelly Park.
On a big scoring weekend in Queensland, Redlands United were too good for Western Pride winning 4-0 and Brisbane Roar beat Moreton Bay United 6-1.
The Gold Coast Derby between United and the Knights is also taking place on Tuesday night at Coplick Family Sports Park.

Devonport have made a major statement in pursuit of the Premiership after a clinical 4-1 win over South Hobart at a rain-sodden Valley Road on Saturday.
Scores were locked at 1-1 at the break before Miles Barnard stole the show, scoring a second-half hat-trick as the Strikers moved eight-points clear at the top of the ladder.
Elsewhere, Olympia Warriors stayed second with a 3-0 win over Launceston City thanks to goals from Bay Kurtz and Joffrey Nkoso (two), while Chris Wademan’s double wasn’t enough to prevent Riverside Olympic losing 3-2 to Hobart Zebras.

Northern NSW
Broadmeadow are the new leaders in Northern NSW after a hard-earned 3-1 win over Adamstown Rosebud.
Scores were locked at 1-1 until midway through the second-half when the Magic’s class shone through, with Paul Bitz scoring all three goals for his side.
Elsewhere, Weston Workers’ bye means they went from first to third, also leapfrogged by Edgeworth Eagles, who outclassed Lake Macquarie City 3-0.
That was the same score in Newcastle Jets Youth’s emphatic performance away at Valentine FC.
