Also in the goals in the opening round were Bayswater City as they accounted for Armadale SC 4-2 at Alfred Skeet Reserve.

Cockburn City also came out winners from their away opener as they accounted for Sorrento FC 3-1, as did Floreat Athena courtesy of a 2-0 result over Perth SC.
At Perth Plasterboard Centre Stadium, Inglewood United left it late as they edged out Rockingham City 3-2.
Lydon Hodgkiss netted a double for Rockingham but it wasn’t enough as Robert Petkov wrapped up a double of his own with five minutes remaining to add to Christopher Jackson’s second-half goal and seal the win.
The other opening round winner was Balcatta FC as they claimed the spoils over ECU Joondalup courtesy of a second-half own goal.
