Gold Coast Knights wrapped up the 2023 NPL Queensland Men’s Premiership while four teams remain in contention for fourth spot heading into the final day.

Gold Coast Knights sealed their maiden NPL Queensland Premiership with a 4-2 win over Olympic at the Croatian Sports Centre on Sunday afternoon.

Knights lead 3-0 after just 26 minutes thanks to goals from Bradden Inman, Tyson Martin and Max Brown before Austin Ludwik added a fourth midway through the second half.

Pasquale De Vita netted against his former club while Lathan Dunn was also on target for an Olympic side who had their relegation to the FQPL confirmed last weekend.

Lions remain fourth despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Eastern Suburbs at Heath Park on Sunday afternoon.

An Andy Pengelly header put Lions in front after 12 minutes but the visitors fought back with a second half goal from Alex Simmons to end a run of 10 consecutive losses.

Brisbane City remain hot on Lions heels heading into the final day just a point outside the top four after grabbing a last gasp 2-1 away win over Sunshine Coast Wanderers at Ballinger Park.

Braydon Doolan opened the scoring in the 41st minute when he rounded Gus Vaags and finished into an empty net before Wanderers levelled the scores through Matthew Nezval in the 76th minute.

City snatched all three points in the 92nd minute thanks to Ginjiro Chiba, who got in behind the Wanderers defence and slammed home a finish at the near post.

Peninsula Power head into the final day just two points shy of fourth spot following a 1-0 win over Moreton Bay at Wolter Park on Sunday.

Noah Hitchcock scored the decisive goal in the 75th minute when he bundled home a finish after Matt Lugo could only parry Malakai Love-Semira’s initial effort.

Rochedale Rovers finish the weekend in seventh, three points adrift of fourth placed Lions after defeating Gold Coast United 2-0 at Coplick Sports Park.

A Blake Thompson own goal put the visitors ahead in the 15th minute before Marek Madle sealed the points with a poachers finish late on in the contest.

Young Roar’s finals hopes were officially ended after they suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Redlands United at Compass Grounds on Sunday.
