Ex-Caltex Socceroo reunites with boyhood club

Former Caltex Socceroos winger Ahmad Elrich has seen his career come full circle after rejoining junior club Parramatta FC.

Elrich took his first steps into senior football with the Sydney outfit back in 1999.

He returns as a 17-time international who counts spells with Fulham, Wellington Phoenix and Central Coast Mariners on his resume.

The 36-year-old arrives from Rydalmere Lions and is looking forward to linking up with his new team-mates, who compete in NPL New South Wales' second tier.

"I was born just down the road from Melita Stadium and I am looking forward to walking out of the home dressing room again at this famous football field," Elrich said.

"As a Parramatta FC junior I always hoped to play again for the club and this opportunity was too good to pass up.

"Being able to play again with Jason Trifiro, work with coach Leo Carle and this great squad of players really excites me."

Elrich is expected to make his second debut for the club against North Shore Mariners at Melita Stadium on Sunday.
