Brisbane Strikers to host Heidelberg United FC in PS4 NPL Grand Final

The Brisbane Strikers have claimed hosting rights for the PlayStation 4 (PS4) National Premier Leagues (NPL) 2017 Grand Final after defeating Edgeworth Eagles today in the second Semi Final.

Yesterday Heidelberg United FC claimed the other Grand Final berth after they accounted for the APIA Leichhardt Tigers 2-1 at Olympic Village.

Brisbane Strikers and Heidelberg will meet at Perry Park in Brisbane next Saturday (30 September, kick-off 6:00pm) in a clash to determine the top NPL club in Australia.

In extraordinary circumstances, the Edgeworth Eagles v Brisbane Strikers match had to be rescheduled from Saturday (23 September) to Sunday (24 September) due to adverse weather conditions that prevented the Brisbane Strikers flight from arriving in the Hunter on Friday evening.

The delay had no effect on the visitors who opened the scoring just before the half hour mark through Jeremy Stewart 28’.

The result was sealed deep into additional time of the second half when Michael Lee converted from the penalty spot to give his team a memorable 2-0 victory.

Football Federation Australia (FFA) has reschedule today’s PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues 2017 Semi Final match between Edgeworth Eagles FC and Brisbane Strikers.

Brisbane Strikers earned the hosting rights after accruing 28 points to Heidelberg United’s 14 points throughout the PlayStation 4 (PS4) National Premier Leagues (NPL) Finals Series (see Points System Criteria below).

Tickets for the PS4 NPL 2017 Grand Final will be available at venue on match day, with the match streamed LIVE via www.nationalpremierleagues.com.au, as well as on PS4 consoles and the official Hyundai A-League Facebook page (www.facebook.com/aleague).
