Adelaide United has signed defender, Lachlan Barr, for the remainder of the Isuzu Ute A-League 2021/22 season as an injury replacement for Nick Ansell.
The 27-year-old has most recently plied his trade with Adelaide City in South Australia’s National Premier League, following spells with MetroStars and White City.
Barr has also played in the Victorian NPL with Heidelberg United, in Germany with Internationale Berlin, and in England with Bradford City.
“I’m very excited to be joining Adelaide United for the remainder of the season,” Barr said. “This is a great opportunity for me to be in a professional A-League setup and to test myself in this environment.”
Speaking on Barr’s addition to his squad, Adelaide United Head Coach, Carl Veart, said: “Lachlan has been a standout player in the NPL for a number of seasons now.
“Whilst it is very unfortunate to lose Nick for the season, having Lachlan join the team will add further strength and depth to our defence.”
