South Hobart bounce back with big win

South Hobart brushed aside Clarence United 8-0 at Darcy Street this afternoon to go back to the top of the PS4 National Premier Leagues Tasmania ladder with the Hobart JEEP Zebras yet to play this round. Alex Leszczynski, Kobe Kemp and Nicholas Morton were the stars for South Hobart in strong team performance.

On a perfect April's day, the South Hobart boys were out to prove that last weekend was just a blip on the radar for them. As the sun beamed down over the luscious green expanses of Darcy Street, South Hobart controlled the game from start to finish. Derby draw delights & disappoints

Launceston City and Northern shared the spoils, as their Round 6 clash in the PS4 NPL Tasmania season ended in a 1-1 draw. The points were shared, bodies were battered, and egos were bruised in a match that both sides did their best work after the half time break in. The contest transformed into typical derby match full of intensity, physicality and slices of cheese, after a flat and somewhat patient first half showing from both sides.

Sublime Strikers cruise past Lions

The Devonport Strikers have continued their strong start to the season with a commanding 5-0 victory over the Kingborough Lions. The Strikers dominated the game from start to finish, they never let Kingborough have a good shot at goal and they created many chances to score for themselves.

Devonport came racing out of the blocks, scoring in just the fourth minute of play from the penalty spot when Daniel Gofton brought down Adam Gorrie inside the area. Brayden Mann coolly slotted the penalty into the bottom left hand corner, providing Devonport the start they were after.

Zebras stampede back Into top spot

In a match that also doubled as the battle for Estia Cup, the Zebras were simply too strong from the first whistle to the last. The Zebras had winners all over the park, but particular standouts were Mattias Toghill, Dwayne Walsh, Henry Moody and Luke Huigsloot. For the Warriors, Zachary Drake and Spiros Paradisis were their best, with Paradisis returning to form with a stellar solo display that kept the scoreline respectable.
