PS4 NPL South Australia Review: Round 12

West Adelaide remain on top of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League ladder after Round 12 following a 3-1 win over Croydon Kings on Saturday.

West Torrens Birkalla came back from the brink to defeat Adelaide City 3-2 in Round 12 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia on Saturday. In one of the games of the year, Birkalla showed they could prove to be a title contender.

It didn’t start well for Birkalla as Adelaide City jumped out of the gate to claim a 2-0 lead within a half hour thanks to goals from Marco Mittiga and El Qioin El Wali. From there, Birkalla powered ahead with goals over the next sixty minutes from John-Paul Cirillo, Paul Radice and Taro Kawamura.

Croydon Kings 1

West Adelaide 3

West Adelaide continued its unbeaten start to the PlayStation4 National Premier League South Australia season with a 3-1 success over Croydon in Round 12 action at Polonia Reserve on Saturday. 

Yudai Yamaguchi opened the scoring on the hour mark, with Tom Briscoe netting West’s second. Rocky Visconte gave Croydon hope, but an injury time own goal sealed the points. 

West Adelaide coach Paul Pezos got the response he was looking for after last week’s elimination from Westfield FFA Cup Qualifying.

Adelaide Comets 4

South Adelaide 3

Adelaide Comets edged out South Adelaide Panthers in a 7 goal thriller to claim all three points in Round 12 of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League South Australia on Saturday.

After falling behind in the opening procession South Adelaide hit back, turning the game around and taking a 2-1 lead into the break.

Panthers Coach Danny Greystone felt it was crushing defeat and hinted that the change in spirit in the second 45 minutes lead to the defeat.
