Brisbane Strikers and FNQ Heat have played out a thrilling draw at Perry Park in Round 14 of PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland, with three goals scored in added time.
Strikers, Heat can't be split in thriller
Strikers looked to have secured the win following a first-half strike to Jeremy Stewart, but the Heat pressed late to net two quickfire goals from set piece to lead 2-1.
But the game was headed for another twist as Ethan Docherty unleashed a strike from 20-yards out to score the equaliser and ensure a surprise draw.
Heat keeper Kevin Ward produced several sharp saves throughout the match, consistently repelling Strikers' attacking raids and the always threatening Hiroki Omori.
Strikers host Brisbane City in the local derby next weekend, while Heat travel home to take on Brisbane Roar FC Youth.

City find fresh Ayr
A pair of goals either side of the half-time for Brisbane City has seen them account for Northern Fury in Ayr on Saturday night.
The win sees City climb to fifth, and more importantly, remain within reach of the top four sides as the competiton begins to heat up.
Mitch Hore opened the scoring for the visitors, steering home a cross at the near post before Sam Sibatuara put City firmly in control of the contest as half-timed loomed.
In the blink of an eye the Fury had sliced City’s lead back to one goal as some Corey Waples benefited from an errand pass.
That was as close as the hosts came however as Carter Glockner reinstated City’s two-goal buffer in the 66th minute before substitute Owain Thomas iced the cake in stoppage time.
The defeat all but dashes the Fury’s slim finals chances with their seventh loss of the season keeping them well off the pace in eighth position.
The Fury now travel south to face bottom-placed Sunshine Coast FC while Brisbane City will prepare for a mouth-watering Brisbane derby with the Strikers.

Jets soar past Young Roar
Moreton Bay United have jumped into the top four with a thumping win over Brisbane Roar Youth on Saturday night.
With the contest moved from A.J. Kelly Park to the Jets’ home, the Young Roar were no match in a high-scoring contest which leaves them floundering in ninth spot.
Kyusub Bang scored a second-half brace for the Jets who now face a tantalising matchup with Olympic.
A punishing strike from Matthew Capelo opened the scoring on 20 minutes before Riley Campbell rounded Macklin Freke to double the advantage shortly after.
Freke unfortunately had a hand in the Jets’ third as the ball richoeted off the Young Roar stopper and into the net.
The Jets had a firm grasp on the contest at the break and the first of Bang’s two goals all but sealed the deal on 57 minutes.
Finn Beakhurst’s fourth goal of the season proved to be a mere consolation for the Roar as Bang’s 84th minute strike polished off a fine evening for the Jets.

GCC hit cloud nine
A dominant display from Gold Coast City has seen them thump Sunshine Coast FC on Saturday, netting an incredible nine goals in the process.
The bottom-placed and winless Fire were never in the contest against the high-flying Gold Coast City side who have extended their lead at the summit to five points.
It took Sam Smith 36 minutes to complete his hat-trick and rocket to the top of the goal-scoring ranks as one of five goalscorers for the hosts.
Smith scored City’s first three goals before Benjamin Lyvidikos netted their fourth in the shadows of half-time to all but finish the contest before the break.
Austin Ludwick joined the party three minutes into the second stanza before Lyvidikos polished off his brace on the hour mark.
Smith again found his way to goal, netting his fourth in the 69th minute before Nik Mirkovic and Tom Miller both got the better of Kevin Downes late in the piece to finish off one of City’s greatest nights.
The Fire still sit winless at the foot of the ladder with just two points to their name and next face Northern Fury on home turf.
GC City will enjoy a bit of breathing space at the top of the ladder ahead of a trip west to face the Thunder.
