APIA Leichhardt Tigers and Sydney Olympic both dropped points after holding a lead in their matches this weekend.

Wollongong has kept its slim finals chances alive with a win against top five rivals Sydney United 58, while Blacktown City has stretched its lead at the top of the pile to six points.

Manly United snuck back into a playoffs spot for the first time in nearly two months with a come from behind win against Sydney Olympic FC at Belmore Sports Ground in this week’s Match of the Round.

Sydney Olympic 1 - Manly United FC 2 at Belmore Sports Ground

Manly United has snatched a last gasp 2-1 win against Sydney Olympic FC during their PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s clash at Belmore Sports Ground on Sunday.

Goals to Sasa Macura and Scott Balderson, only two minutes apart, left the home fans completely shell shocked as the clock ticked away in the dying stages of the match.

A Mitchell Stamatellis header after 30 minutes had the home team in the lead and in control until Manly struck in the 80th minute.

The result allows Manly to move back into the top five for the first time in nearly two months.

Sydney FC 2 - APIA Leichhardt Tigers 1 at Lambert Park

Sydney FC goalkeeper Thomas Heward-Belle was the hero saving two penalties to help the young Sky Blues claim a 2-1 win against APIA Leichhardt Tigers at Lambert Park.

Heward-Belle’s saves gifted Sydney FC the fifth win of their inaugural PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s campaign and has put a major spanner in the works for APIA’s premiership hopes.

Sean Symons had APIA in pole position at halftime after he opened the scoring thirty minutes in.

However, second half strikes to Charles Lokolingoy and Brendan Curtis put the home side in the lead, while Heward-Belle's saves from the spot – including one in injury time – helped Robbie Stanton’s side to a hard earned three points.

Bonnyrigg White Eagles 0 - Hakoah Sydney City East 0 at Bonnyrigg Sports Club

It was a scoreless draw at Bonnyrigg Sports Club during the PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s clash between Bonnyrigg White Eagles and Hakoah Sydney City East on Saturday.

The White Eagles created a plethora of chances throughout the 90 minutes but Brian Brown’s side couldn’t find the back of Anthony Bouzanis’ net.

The Hakoah shot stopper was in incredible form denying anything that came his way including a penalty from Shervin Adeli in the 51st minute.

It was a frustrating result for Bonnyrigg who controlled proceedings but were unable to come away with a much needed win.

Rockdale City Suns 5 - Sutherland Sharks 2 at Ilinden Sports Centre

An incredible five goal haul in the second half has helped Rockdale City Suns to a 5-2 victory against Sutherland Sharks during their PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s clash at Ilinden Sports Centre on Sunday.

Trailing 2-0 after an hour, Rockdale delivered an almighty fight back with goals to Jordan Figon, Blake RIcciuto, Jonathan Grozdanovski, Toufic Alameddine and Alec Urosevski ensuring the home side took home the three competition points.

It was an onslaught Sutherland didn't see coming after a Trent McClennehan own goal and a Tomohiro Kajiyama strike had them riding high with a two goal lead and only 30 minutes to play.

However it wasn't to be for Sutherland as they conceded goal after goal and had Kajiyama sent off on their way to a demoralising loss on the road.

Parramatta FC 1 - Blacktown City FC 3 at Melita Stadium

Blacktown City strengthened its PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s premiership credentials after defeating struggling Parramatta 3-1 in a scrappy contest at Melita Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The visitors cantered to a 2-0 lead at half time thanks to Zach Cairncross’ opener and a Mitch Mallia penalty.

A fine solo effort from Victor Anyimba reduced the deficit for Parramatta but hopes of a fightback were extinguished by a late goal from Connor Evans.

The result leaves City six points ahead of second-placed APIA Leichhardt following the Tigers’ shock 2-1 defeat to Sydney FC on Saturday night.

Parramatta offered a spirited second half display but were ultimately outclassed by the premiership favourites who consigned the embattled club to their tenth consecutive defeat.

Wollongong Wolves 1 v Sydney United 58 FC 0

Wollongong Wolves have claimed another big scalp overcoming a wasteful Sydney United to record a 1-0 PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s victory at WIN Stadium on Sunday.

A late goal to substitute Jack Lombo helped the home side overcome a run of tough results and keeps their finals hopes alive.

The Reds will consider themselves unlucky to have not claimed at least a point on the road with Matt Sim hitting the base off the post on two separate occasions among a number of other near misses for the visitors.
