Goalkeepers save Pascoe Vale and Hume City

A stellar performance from goalkeeper Alex Pavlidis saw Pascoe Vale through, while Hume City shot stopper Chris Oldfield was the hero as he put an end to Melbourne Knights' finals aspirations in a pulsating start to the PlayStation 4 NPL Victoria 2015 Finals Series.

A heroic performance from goalkeeper Alex Pavlidis lifted Pascoe Vale into the semi-finals of PlayStation 4 NPL Victoria after a 2-2 draw against Heidelberg United at Olympic Village on Sunday.

Pascoe Vale now has a semi-final against South Melbourne to prepare for after winning 3-0 on penalty kicks.

Pavlidis saved two out of three Heidelberg United penalties to win the shoot-out and cap a day where both he and counterpart Griffin McMaster had made a string of quality saves.

Hume City advanced to the semi-finals of the PS4 NPL Victoria finals following a 2-0 win on penalties against 10-man Melbourne Knights at Knights Stadium on Friday night.

The two sides could not be separated after 120 minutes of action with the game ending in a 2-2 draw.

Chris Oldfield was the hero for Hume, saving each and every one of Melbourne Knights' four spot-kicks.
